Amazing as always
And thank you so much! <:
Being sad?! D: or wait, maybe he's just thinking... He always have a bit of a sad expression...
I read in earlier comments, that you put more time and effort into his face - perhaps you can keep that up for future projects? I like the "rougher" works just as well - but here we can see your true potential.
But I'm still all mellow and relaxed after my Christmas holidays, and I have got some time to spend on each brushstroke... I wonder how long this will last! C;
You see, you CAN draw. Even with a rougher style - you still show how much attention you give to the little details, you make the anatomy correct and your characters are instantly recognizable. This is a rare talent, mind you. I've often seen great art with cute, handsome and/or beautiful popular(!) characters, where only clothes and hairstyle told me, who these characters actually were. Put them in another suit and change the hair-color and BAM! - I wouldn't recognize them as Thor or Loki or Iron Man or... and so on.
Please consider that this is only my opinion - which can be wrong and argued with!!!
For me, a "rougher" style (not yours, but beginners work!) was always something unfinished, something which needed improvement. I don't mean to belittle new artists - they can become truly awesome - but that needs time and lots of practice. Therefore for me, a clean , non-wobbly line is something to be desired.
The more cleaned up versions only show to me, that the respective artists put very much effort in their works - and that is what I truly respect about artists in general. Not their talent (yes , they have it and they developed it further) - but the effort and sedulity they put into each created picture.
Long story short: My comment wasn't meant for you to change your drawing style. Like I said, your other works are just as magnificent as this particular picture. And I don't think this one is boring or without life. It's still your work - only more cleaned up.
Have a nice Weekend and good luck with future artworks! ;>
PS: what a coincidence I have Ps CS6 and Intuos 4 too but my hand drawings are still nothing more than kid's doodles now >
